JHEP is owned and produced by SISSA and is available online at SpringerLink.

As of 2014 papers are published according to the gold open access scheme funded by SCOAP³. This consortium provides the financial support which covers costs and makes the return on investment required to develop innovative software and maintain a permanent archive. There are no page charges for authors. Articles are published with Creative Commons 4.0 license and their copyright is retained by the authors.

Before 2014 JHEP followed a hybrid open access model, therefore some articles published then are available to subscribed readers only, with different license and copyright terms. The Editorial Office will provide more detailed information upon request.
